Welcome to Rumbalara

Since the establishment of Rumbalara as a Community Centre there have been many changes. The Medical Clinic was established in 1981 to provide the health services so desperately needed and continues to provide Community Controlled Health Services to our Community. Other services have expanded and new programs have been established to meet the growing needs of the Community.

Rumbalara Aboriginal Cooperative is recognized today as a key stakeholder in Aboriginal Health. Maintaining a high profile within the Public and Private Sectors in areas such as Research, Consultancy, Policy Development, and Partnerships. Rumbalara operates in a culturally appropriate and sensitive Community Controlled environment that maintains a Holistic approach to service provision and emphasizes the importance of Family and Community.

Message to Community from CEO - Posted: 11-11-2011

Following recent accusations on Face book led by a couple of ex employees, and Community Members, I as CEO, strongly refute the untrue claims that the current Board and Management of Rumbalara Aboriginal Co-operative have pulled down houses on the Mooroopna site.

Traditional Healing Centre - Posted: 14-07-2011

About 45 people attended the Traditional Healing Centre Community Forum held at Connections @ Kidstown, Shepparton on 28 March, 2011, with community members providing valuable information about the type of Traditional Healing Centre and healing practices that should be considered when it is established.

Healing Centre Information Forum - Posted: 16-03-2011

All community members are invited to attend a Healing Centre Information Forum at 5.30pm on Monday 28th of March at Connections (Kids Town). Highlights include Traditional Dancing, light supper and refreshments and guest speakers from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Healing Foundation.
